Mt Buller caters for just about every skier, from competent regular skiers to novices and children. It has the largest lift network in the whole of Victoria and so getting to the slopes is easy and convenient.
For kids there are two specially designed toboggan parks that are safe and also offer ski instructors for early learning. And when not on the slopes the adults can take advantage of the High Alpine Spa Retreat, an ideal place to forget about the stresses of the city.
Falls Creek is popular with skiers and snowboarders and it has an incredible 21 cross country trails as well as 92 alpine runs. Of all the snow resorts in Victoria, Falls Creek is the most child and beginner friendly.
Almost 80% of all the ski terrain is devoted to novice skiers so it is a great place to take lessons and learn how to ski. And there is even a child care centre on site if the parents wish to partake in some serious skiing.
This ski resort actively seeks out kids to come and enjoy the snow. In fact Mt Hotham have a rule that all kids under five can ski free as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Another great plus of this resort is the Parent’s Pass where parents who buy one full priced pass can get another half price.
The skiing is on 800 acres of great snow, and although this resort wants to attract families it is also home to one of Australia’s toughest runs, Mary’s Slide.
